Jerk King's Origins
When it comes to Jerk chicken, Jerk King stands far above the competition. My inspirations for this business are my father and grandmother who had a family stall at the very first St Paul’s Carnival. In addition, my father had Jamaican restaurants on Stokes Croft and Union St, in the late ’80s, called Quisine. The Jerk King journey started with a pop-up night at The Ship Inn, Bristol – demand was unexpectedly high – over 170 covers.

The Technique

Our meat, from R Jenkins Butchers, is marinated in our secret homemade Jerk seasoning for 24 hours before cooking, for a taste sensation!

Cooked on a traditional oil drum BBQ, using smoky coals, the char-grill finish to our meat creates the succulent, mouth-watering experience which Jerk King customers keep coming back for.

We’re sure that you’ll be delighted when you get your teeth into our infamous, authentic Jerk. Cutlery and napkins are provided as standard, so you can simply savour the flavour.

With our gazebo, Jerk King delivers outstanding Jamaican food throughout the year – whatever the weather. Where will you be Jerk King this year?
